The club will be operated by the hubs that represent the community groups that collaborate around addressing the wicked problems they are focused on. The club simply provides the vehicle for such cooperation.
To get an idea how club members will work together and the collective impact we may have, consider this image:
A composite of many small images of flowers, while each of them may represent micro-phenomena that are important in their own contexts, like coloured stones composing a mosaic, together they form a larger picture that is quite different from the many small pictures that compose it.
Similarly, individual, isolated facts and acts within society together form the respective environmental, social, political and economic phenomena that matter for our collective wellbeing. We can enhance our collective impact by aggregating our individual and community-level efforts. The raison d’être for Wellbeing Garden club is to achieve such aggregation by developing an online network.
We cannot know what the image that emerges from the myriad of activities involving thousands of communities will look like. Nor should we second-guess it, or try to shape it.
Our care is focussed on ensuring that people and communities – today and into the future – are able to live the lives they value, pursuing their life projects.
